...City council voted to spend $2.7 million to upgrade utilities and streets leading to the site on Olentangy River Road known as Gowdy Field. Council also allocated $780,000 to match a $3 million Clean Ohio grant to help clean up the site. The city funds will help drain off methane gas and place a clay cap over the former landfill...
