Columbus Alive

Columbus Alive"...Which brought Stevens to forming the new Uptown District, so named because “uptown” has more positive, upbeat connotations than “downtown,” he explained. Uptown District Boundaries
Downtown businesses hope uptown name is appealing - 2004-01-19 - Business First of Columbus [An account is required with Business First in order to view this article]
"...the Uptown District moniker to promote the area bounded by Lynn Alley to the south, Nationwide Boulevard to the north, North Front Street to the west and Fourth Street to the east."
I'm finding new districts everyday while doing research on metro Columbus. From this excerpt from an article in Business First it looks like a group of businesses are trying to organize and get the Uptown District recognized. Heck, everyone else is doing it...
My biggest purpose here is to try and keep track of all the districts and their boundaries, mainly for people who want to know what their options are if they are looking to move into the city with all the new development that's going on. Soon I will start mapping the boundaries according to my info. Of course you'll always want to check with the city to verify any information you find here or anywhere else if you are looking to move into a certain district or neighborhood.
