Woodland Park: Who knew?
Now there are a few things in life that bother me in relation to RetroMetro. Number one is when I try to research an Urban topic or look for news in Columbus and...RetroMetro comes up as number one. It can be frustrating when doing web research on a topic and my own info comes up. Usually it means there isn't much information out there and I have to turn to other sources for information. Tough life, huh?
Now there are a few things in life that gratify me in relation to RetroMetro. Number one is when I add a new service or feature and it gets used for what I intended.
I recently added the expanded Photo Albums on RetroMetro so that people from various urban neighborhoods could upload there own photos to promote their piece of urban Columbus. When people are interested in going urban, I wanted them to have a resource to get an idea of where the neighborhoods are and what they look like.
No sooner do I add the Photo Albums then I myself discover an urban neighborhood that I wasn't very familiar with. I was a bit surprised at the homes I found in Woodland Park while browsing through Jeff LaFever's recently added album "Homes and Gardens of Woodland Park."
I've have subsequently added Woodland Park to the Districts & Neighborhoods page (with a little friendly prompting from Jeff :) ). Be sure to have a look at his Photo Album and the Woodland Park website.

The Woodland Park Neighborhood Association is pleased to introduce you to our community located in the Near East side of Columbus, Ohio. Established during the turn of the 20th Century, Woodland Park was a planned suburban, upscale community. Referenced as the "North Gateway to Franklin Park", this neighborhood has been home to the founding families that were key in making Columbus the city that it is today...
